AGC raises $30,000 at Annual Celebration of Hope Gala
AGC Scholarship Foundation held its annual Celebration of Hope Gala on March 24, 2017 at Lakeview Pavilion in Foxboro, MA. Amy Diaz, former Amazing Race winner, delivered the keynote address and the Nor’easters provided musical entertainment.
The event raised $30,000 and focused on the fertility success stories of scholarship recipients providing inspiration to all that attended.
Since 2010 AGC has raised $150,000 for couples that need financial assistance to pay for expensive fertility treatments and/or adoption. Once cycle of IVF costs approximately $10,000 – $15,000. Adoption fees range from $5,000 – $40,000. Twenty-six recipients have been awarded scholarships, resulting in ten births (4 via adoption) and six more are expecting babies this year.
“Celebration of Hope is an amazing event,” said Aprill Lane, Foundation Founder and Executive Director. “Our guests laugh, they cry, they give and they walk away feeling empowered to do more. It has been incredible to see how AGC has grown from conception to where it is now. We have not only provided over 26 families with financial assistance to pursue their dreams of building a family, we have also provided endless hope to thousands.”
Sponsors and generous contributors included: EMD Serono, Boston IVF, CCRM Boston, Scribbletime, Michael J. St Andre, Esquire, Hefez & Sons Jewelers, Patriot Place, Libra Group & Grace Hotels, Vinovations, Corfinio Restaurant, Mansfield Bank, Rotary Club of Mansfield and Sue’s Cleaners.
AGC Scholarship Foundation was established in 2010 to provide both advocacy and scholarships for individuals struggling with infertility in the United States. Currently only fifteen states have laws that require insurance coverage for fertility treatments, leaving the majority with no insurance. The AGC Hope Scholarship provides financial assistance so that individuals can fulfill their dream of becoming parents whether they choose the path of fertility treatments or adoption.
