Annual Golf Classic Keynote Speaker, Lee Rubin Collins
We are so honored to have Lee Rubin Collins as our Keynote Speaker at the Annual Golf Classic!
Lee Rubin Collins is a nationally known patient advocate and expert on infertility advocacy and patient access to care. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School and formerly a litigation partner with Ropes & Gray in Boston, Lee’s personal experience of secondary infertility catalyzed her interest in the cause of infertility awareness and advocacy, and she has been a tireless patient advocate ever since. Among other efforts, Lee volunteers with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association to defeat legislative initiatives such as “embryo personhood” bills that would interfere with IVF and other needed treatments, and she co-wrote the bill to expand the Massachusetts infertility insurance mandate, which became law in 2010.
Lee served on the RESOLVE Board of Directors from 2002-2012. She writes and speaks regularly about infertility, including presentations at the annual conference of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. Awards: RESOLVE’s Barbara Eck Founder’s Award, 2014; RESOLVE’s Hope Award for Advocacy, 2010; Patient Advocate Award from Boston IVF, 2008; RESOLVE of the Bay State President’s Award, 2002. Lee has served on the Board of RESOLVE of the Bay State, 2001-2009, and the Howard and Georgeanna Jones Foundation for Reproductive Medicine since 2004. She currently serves as a member of the Ethics Committee of ASRM. Lee lives in Wellesley, MA with her husband and two daughters.
